Date | Isaiah's prophecies against this readings towns may have been given between 714 - 701 BC.
Background | It now seems clear that all the Hebrew Bible received its
final shape in the post-exilic, or Second Temple, period. … The earliest of the
great prophets, Amos, Hosea, and Isaiah,
lived in the eighth century. The book of Isaiah, however, includes not only
oracles from the original prophet, but much material that was clearly composed
after the Babylonian exile. (Accordingly, Isaiah 40–66 is called Second, or
Deutero-, Isaiah, and chapters 56–66 are sometimes further distinguished as
Third, or Trito-, Isaiah, although, as far as we know, there was only one prophet
named Isaiah.) The books of the prophets were all edited in the Second Temple
period, although we cannot be sure just when.
Reading | Ethiopia - they will be cut down; Egypt - calamities will happen; Babylon - they will fall; Edom - the night is coming; Arabia - flee from the sword; Jerusalem - they will weep and wail; Shebna - make their own grave; Tyre - wail for Tyre will be destroyed.

Venite Psalm 95:1-7
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Come let us adore him.
Come, let us sing to the Lord; *
let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving *
and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.
let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving *
and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Come let us adore him.
For the Lord is a great God, *
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth, *
and the heights of the hills are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it, *
and his hands have molded the dry land.
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth, *
and the heights of the hills are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it, *
and his hands have molded the dry land.
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Come let us adore him.
Come, let us bow down, and bend the knee, *
and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. *
Oh, that today you would hearken to his voice!
and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. *
Oh, that today you would hearken to his voice!
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Come let us adore him.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Come let us adore him.
