Saturday Reflection

Posting from GraceFullBible today - Thoughts of St. Paul

I think Romans 12 - 16 gives a basic handbook for the life as a disciple of Christ and living the Christian life. No one is perfect in this life except God, but in that these portions of scriptures give us a guide and direction in order to move forward in our lives with our brother, Jesus.

Hear these messages of St. Paul ...
  • Be holy;
  • Be transformed by the renewal of the Spirit;
  • Don’t think of yourselves more highly than others;
  • We are one body with many members;
  • Let love be genuine – hate what is evil – hold fast to what is good;
  • Build the community;
  • If possible live peaceably with everyone;
  • Help your enemies in all their needs;
  • Over come evil with good.
  • Let every person be subject to the government God has given to us;
  • Owe nothing except love one another;
  • Love your neighbor as yourself;
  • Watch – salvation is near.
  • Be tolerant to others as they grow in their faith and calling to be a disciple;
  • We live to God for whether we live or die – we are God’s;
  • Don’t judge;
  • Freedom is not a license to give offense. (A lesson my nation needs to learn in civil discourse.)
  • Remember Christ’s example;
  • Welcome one another;
  • Be full of goodness;
  • Exceed in doing good;
  • Join me in earnest prayer;

The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
