Reflection |
Psalm 113  - Literary type | Hymn click here.
The Lord is above the nations; he gives the poor their justice.

1 Samuel 1 - Samuel is born and given to the Lord; he was given to Hannah as a gift and she promised to give back to the Lord. When Samuel was weaned, Hannah left him at the Temple with the priests.

Romans 8 - We are the children of God and have relationship like a daddy; and we have freedom that liberates the very creation from bondage.

John 6 -  Jesus - Do not work for food that perishes but seek the food of eternal life; in all that is important God gives to all who love him; Jesus has come down from heaven to live with us in our lives in our time no matter what.

Today - You are a child of God!

Collect of the Day: The Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
