Psalm 55
Hear my prayer; I am shaken because of my life; fear and trembling cease me; Let me escape; there is oppression everywhere; I feel betrayed; God will hear me; my friendship is broken; cast your burden upon the Lord and God will redeem.

Galatians 3
We were imprisoned under the law; but we are now Children of God; we are one in Christ; we are free; we are adopted by God and a child and inheritor of all things God.

Matthew 15
Jesus was tested by religious leaders but Jesus says their acts of tradition take them away from God; what comes out of the mouth is defiled; the disciples wonder at the saying; out of the heart comes evil intentions.

A Collect for Saturdays

Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
