Psalm 78
NOAB - Tells a lesson from Israel's history using two events - one in the wilderness and the other embracing the entire Exodus and Conquest with the main point being the transgression against God and some of the consequences | We will tell of the glorious deeds of God to the next generation; God appointed the land to give to Israel; telling of those who did not keep the covenant; they sinned but then remembered God and God became their salvation; God chose David to rule and celebrates Zion.

Numbers 11
NOAB - A rebellion takes place in the wilderness on wanting to eat meat; God is angry; difficult section to read because of the blending of traditions | People hungry, God is mad, Moses complains to God because of the complaining people; God appoints 70 elders to meet with God; God asks if God's power is limited- it is not.

Romans 1
Paul continues to write; God wrath will be on the evil doers and the wicked who suppress the truth; God has been eternal since the dawn of time; God gave the evil doers up to their own devices.

Matthew 17
Should we play the Temple tax? Asks Jesus and Peter this questions and asks him to go fishing and pay the tax.

For All Sorts and Conditions
O God, the creator and preserver of all, we humbly beseech you for all sorts and conditions of people; that you would be pleased to make your ways known unto them, your saving health unto all nations. More especially we pray for your holy Church universal; that it may be so guided and governed by your good Spirit, that all who profess and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of life. Finally, we commend to your fatherly goodness all those who are in any ways afflicted or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it may please you to comfort and relieve them according to their several necessities, giving them patience under their sufferings, and a happy issue out of all their afflictions. And this we beg for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.
