Romans 12
Be holy; be transformed by the renewal of the Spirit; don’t think of yourselves more highly than others; we are one body with many members; Let love be genuine – hate what is evil – hold fast to what is good; build the community; if possible live peaceably with everyone; help your enemies in all their needs; over come evil with good.

A Collect for the Renewal of Life
O God, the King eternal,
who divides the day from the night
and turns the shadow of death into the morning:
Drive far from us all wrong desires,
incline our hearts to keep your law,
and guide our feet into the way of peace;
that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day, we may, when night comes,
rejoice to give you thanks;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord. We pray today for the two killed and the two injured on Miami Street in St Louis, Missouri (USA) and the five injured in Warner Robins, Georgia on Wednesday being shot. Be with their families as they bury their dead. Heal those that were injured that they may recover to life and service. Heal our society so that love not violence is the common day. O Lord, hear our cry, that people stop shooting each other and walk the path of love together with your son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
