Psalm 146
I will praise the Lord as long as I live; Happy are those who call upon the name of the Lord; God is just;
The Lord
  • Sets the prisoners free
  • Opens the eyes of the blind
  • Lifts up those bowed down
  • Loves the righteous
  • Cares for the stranger
  • Sustains the orphan and widow
  • Reigns forever

Esther 7
The saga of rescue continues; Haman has a plot to begin to kill off Esther’s people (Israel); She creates a feast for the King and the second day the King granted a petition; Esther says how can she ask anything when there is a plot against her people and names Haman; the King is furious and commands Haman to be executed on the gallows he had created in his yard to begin to kill off the Jews.

Acts 19
God gave the ability to do miracles to Paul; many acts of healing; an exorcist tried to use this gift himself and was taken over by the evil spirit he tried to cast out in the name of Jesus who Paul believes;the word of the Lord grew in that area.

Luke 4
Jesus comes to his hometown and preaches at his synagogue quoting the prophet Isaiah and the coming of the Messiah; the crowd asks for the same miracles and signs that Jesus had done elsewhere but he said he could not because of their lack of faith and said that this even happened to Elijah and Elisha; they got mad at the comparison and took him out to the edge of the town to be killed for blasphemy but Jesus just walked away and left that area.

Prayer
The Lord's Prayer
music: video | choir
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your Name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
Suffrages
Show us your mercy, O Lord;
And grant us your salvation.
Clothe your ministers with righteousness;
Let your people sing with joy.
Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
For only in you can we live in safety.
Lord, keep this nation under your care;
And guide us in the way of justice and truth.
Let your way be known upon earth;
Your saving health among all nations.
Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten;
Nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
Create in us clean hearts, O God;
And sustain us with your Holy Spirit.
