Remember to send me your words and I will obey them; teach me knowledge and good judgement for I follow your commands

Job 29 | His 10th speech
Job is nostalgic about his former life, present isolation, and curses that he has not been vindicated (NOAB4 notes)

Acts 14
Paul was stoned and left for dead but the disciples there help him and he and Barnabas depart; they visited various churches in Syria; they found one church and told of the opening of the hearts of the Gentiles to Jesus. Is your heart open to Jesus?

Matthew 11
Jesus friend Lazarus was sick and then died; Jesus takes his disciples to Bethany where Jesus was almost stoned and they went with him with fear of what they would find there; Jesus says the glory of the Lord will be shown.

Prayer

O God, you have bound us together in a common life. Help us, in the midst of our struggles for justice and truth, to confront one another without hatred or bitterness, and to work together with mutual forbearance and respect; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Peace in Times of Conflict, p. 824)
