Week after the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost - Proper 25

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Pray this way or this way or this way.

Today |
Psalm 66
Be joyful;
Sing to God;
See the works of God;
Make haste to hear the words of the Lord!
Blessed be God who has not rejected my prayers.

Glory be to God from now to eternity. Amen

Ephesians 4
Lead a life worthy of your calling;
Bear one another’s burdens;
What is your calling?
How are you using it?
How are you building up the body of Christ?

John 14
Jesus - if you love me you will keep my commandments;
If you love me - the Father and the Advocate (the Holy Spirit) will also love you;
I will be with you.

Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer. Collect of the Day: proper 25

Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Canticle 15 The Song of Mary - Luke 1:46-55 - Magnificat

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;*
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: *
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,*
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,*
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,*
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,*
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,*
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
