Psalm 107
God changes things in the creation to bless some and judge others;
God lifts up the poor and saves them;
Consider well the mercies of the Lord.
Acts 22
Jesus appears to Paul and tells him to get out of Jerusalem and preach to the Gentiles; Paul was arrested after causing a riot; he was bound and told the Tribune that he was born a Roman citizen and was released immediately.
Luke 6
Jesus says
Love your enemies and those that abuse you;
Help and do good;
Hope;
Do not judge people;
Forgive;
Give and you will be given more.
A Collect for Saturdays
Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Collect
Grant us, Lord, not to anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things which are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
