Week after the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost - Proper 25

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Pray this way or this way or this way.

Today |
Psalm 55
Hear my prayer, O God;
I have no peace because I worry;
I am afraid of everyone and evil around me;
I want to escape;
Destroy those who hurt me;
I will call upon the Lord to rescue me;
God will hear my complaining and whining;
God will sustain us;
I will put my trust in God.

Glory be to God from now to eternity. Amen

Revelation 13
Another beastie pops up and takes over everything and marks everyone with the 666 stamp on their forehead for those that follow it.

Luke 12
Jesus - Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom; give alms; be ready; be prepared for you don’t know the hour; be alert.

Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer.
Collect of the Day: proper 25
Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Canticle 15 | The Song of Mary | Luke 1:46-55 | Magnificat

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;*
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: *
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,*
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,*
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,*
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,*
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,*
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

A Collect for Saturdays

Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
