Psalm 105
Glory and seek the Lord;
Remember the marvels God has done;
God remembers the promises and covenant;
God protects the Lord’s people;
(retelling of the Joseph story).
James 4
You do not know what tomorrow will bring; God controls the future; riches give no fulfillment; treat people fairly.
Luke 17
Jesus was asked about the Kingdom of God location but he said the Kingdom is among you; The Son of Man will suffer; (retelling of Noah and Lot); You may be taken; they may kill you but you will be saved.
Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer.
Collect of the Day: proper 28
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

A Collect for Guidance
Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
