Week after the 26th Sunday after Pentecost - Proper 28

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Pray this way or this way or this way.

Psalm 97
The Lord is King and everyone everywhere rejoice;
Be in awe of the Lord and see God’s glory;
The Lord loves those that hate evil;
Be true-hearted.
James 3
Don’t teach unless you can be judged to a higher standard;
Be careful with your tongue for it can be evil and poison;
Blessings should come from it only.
Luke 17
Jesus said watch that you cause a little one to stumble;
Forgive always; have faith; do as God commands you.

Collect of the Day: proper 28

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

A Collect for Guidance
Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
