I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
Psalm 121
My help comes from the Lord;
My help comes from the Lord;
God keeps watch over us and will preserve us;
You will be safe,
1 Corinthians 3
Jesus is the foundation of faith;
God’s Spirit dwells in you;
You belong to God.
You belong to God.
Luke 18
Jesus takes his disciples aside and tells them that in Jerusalem all that the prophets foretold would be fulfilled but they did not understand; Jesus heals a pleading blind man- the man receives his sight and praises God for this great thing.
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
For Mission
Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
A Collect for Guidance
Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
