Psalm 28 | Plea for vindication
Do not be deaf to my cry:
I am not an evil-doer;
Repay them and give them justice;
Keep me.

2 Chronicles 24
A righteous king had died and the people forgot the way of the Lord;
God sent prophets but they were ignored;
God sent Zechariah; the people forgot who he was and killed him via stoning;
They were judged by God.

Act 6

Collect of the Day: St. Stephen the Deacon
We give you thanks, O Lord of glory, for the example of the first martyr Stephen, who looked up to heaven and prayed for his persecutors to your Son Jesus Christ, who stands at your right hand: where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

For Social Justice
Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
