Psalm 20
God will answer you in times of trouble;
May the Lord grant your heart’s desire;
We will be made right in God.
Isaiah 25 | Deliverance
O God, you have done wonderful things;
You have been a refuge to the poor;
God creates the heaven for us;
God will save us - please now!
Revelation 1
John writes his revelation to the seven churches in Asia that are represented in this image as seven lampstands; Do not be afraid for I am the first and the last.
John 8 | This section appears in some manuscripts but not in others. Continues to be a debate of its inclusion.
A woman is caught in adultery; church leaders use it as an opportunity to trap Jesus and so asks Jesus if she should be stoned; Jesus thinks about it and proclaims let the one without sin cast the first stone; no stones are thrown and the crowd disperses; Jesus to the woman- who accuses you? No one. Then I don’t - go and sin no more.

Collect of the Day: Christmas
O God, you have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light: Grant that we, who have known the mystery of that Light on earth, may also enjoy him perfectly in heaven; where with you and the Holy Spirit he lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

A Collect for the Renewal of Life

O God, the King eternal,
who divides the day from the night
and turns the shadow of death into the morning:
Drive far from us all wrong desires,
incline our hearts to keep your law,
and guide our feet into the way of peace;
that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day,
we may, when night comes,
rejoice to give you thanks;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For the Conservation of Natural Resources

Almighty God, in giving us
dominion over things on earth,
you made us fellow workers in your creation:
Give us wisdom and reverence
so to use the resources of nature,
that no one may suffer from our abuse of them,
and that generations yet to come
may continue to praise you for your bounty;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
