God laughs at this and will appoint a new leader;

The author continues telling the salvation history and concludes;
Since we have a cloud of witnesses let us set aside sin and look to Jesus who was killed, raised, and now rules with God.
John 15
Jesus is the true vine and God his father is the vinedresser;
Abide with Jesus;
All will be done for you;
As God the Father- abba (daddy) - loves me so I love you and you are my friend;
Bear fruit and become Jesus disciple.

Almighty God, you have poured upon us the new light of your incarnate Word: Grant that this light, enkindled in our hearts, may shine forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God,
by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people
is governed and sanctified:
Receive our supplications and prayers
which we offer before you for
all members of your holy Church,
that in their vocation and ministry
they may truly and devoutly serve you;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

Today’s Parable - Wineskins / Luke 5:37 Jesus in this scene is having a party with known sinners after the conversion of a tax collector. Some religious people are critical of this action.
