God gives us what we need!

1 Samuel 1

Hannah celebrates God for granting her a son - Samuel - who will be with the Lord always; and she left him in the temple at Shiloh to serve God all of his life.

Romans 8

We are children of God through the indwelling of the Spirit; Our Daddy (Abba) is the type of relationship we now have with God; the suffering of today is nothing like the future glory we will have with God in eternity.

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Almighty and eternal God,

so draw our hearts to you,

so guide our minds,

so fill our imaginations,

so control our wills,

that we may be wholly yours,

utterly dedicated unto you;

and then use us, we pray you, as you will,

and always to your glory and the welfare of your people;

through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
