Readings
Today | Monday | 12 June 2017
Psalm 56 | Individual Lament  | Background
I am afraid;
everything is happening to me is bad;
I want to escape from them;
The governments here are corrupt;
I was betrayed by friends; may they be cursed;
I call God and complain and lament and I will be heard;
Cast your burden on the Lord and you will deliver them.

2 Corinthians 10 | Background
Paul - I appeal to you; we don’t act in human standards but make argument for those that debate God; I have been called by God; we have the authority to give you the grace of Christ; we proclaim salvation in Christ.

Luke 18 | Backgroud
Jesus - we are going to Jerusalem - he predicted his passion, death, resurrection but no one understood; a beggar cried, “Have mercy on me!” “What do you want me to do?” And the beggar regained his sight and everyone praised God.

Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer.
Today | Collect of the Day:  Sunday of the Holy Trinity
Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God,
by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people
is governed and sanctified:
Receive our supplications and prayers
which we offer before you for
all members of your holy Church,
that in their vocation and ministry
they may truly and devoutly serve you;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

A Collect for the Renewal of Life

O God, the King eternal,
who divides the day from the night
and turns the shadow of death into the morning:
Drive far from us all wrong desires,
incline our hearts to keep your law,
and guide our feet into the way of peace;
that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day,
we may, when night comes,
rejoice to give you thanks;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
