Psalm 119 | Background
Remember your words and promises to me, O God;
I am upset with the evil doers;
I have kept your commandments;
I stay on your path and dwell with those who know you;
You are merciful at all times.
I delight in the study of your Word.

Acts 14 |
Jews won over the crowd and stoned Paul; Paul got up and left and went on to evangelize more of the eastern Mediterranean region; Paul reported back to the Church of the wonders of work with the Gentiles.

Mark 4 |
Jesus said let us cross to the other side; the wind blew; disciples were afraid; Jesus woke from a nap and he yelled at the wind to be still and it was a dead calm; it left the disciples wondering about Jesus and his power - who is this guy?

Collect for the Day
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
For Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.
General Thanksgiving

Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up our selves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory throughout all ages. Amen.
