Psalm 24 | Background
The Lord is my companion who is always with me;
God walks with me and guides me at all times;
I am refreshed in the Lord’s presence always;
Even unto death, I do not fear for God is with me;
I am comforted by God’s love and power;
At the great banquet, everyone is invited even the people I don’t like;
God and the Lord’s goodness will be with me forever.

Acts 5 |
A decision on Peter was before a council; leave these people alone, but if it of God leave it alone for it will succeed; they were whipped and rejoiced; They continued their preaching.

John 11 |
Many of the Jews believed and some tattled on them; the religious leaders plotted to kill him, and during the Festival they were looking to arrest him.

Collect for the Day
O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
For Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.

A Collect for Sundays

O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

For the Conservation of Natural Resources
Almighty God, in giving us
dominion over things on earth,
you made us fellow workers in your creation:
Give us wisdom and reverence
so to use the resources of nature,
that no one may suffer from our abuse of them,
and that generations yet to come
may continue to praise you for your bounty;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
