Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer
Lent - Year B (Mark)

Collect for the Day:
Almighty God, whose blessed Son was led by the Spirit to be tempted
by Satan: Come quickly to help us who are assaulted by many temptations;
and, as you know the weaknesses of each of us, let each one find you
mighty to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues
confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and
serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For Peace against violence
God of life,
Every act of violence in our world, in our communities, between myself
and others destroys a part of your creation.  Stir in my heart a renewed
sense of reverence for all life. Give me the vision to recognize your spirit
in every human being, however, they behave towards me. Make possible
the impossible by cultivating in me the fertile seed of healing love. May I play
my part in breaking the cycle of violence by realizing that peace begins
with me. In the name of Christ, who is our peace, Amen.

A Collect for Guidance
Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being:
We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit,
that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you,
but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
