Paul - talks of virgins, since the end is near, stay that way;
the end is near and save yourself the trouble of being married.
The present form of this world is passing away.
Mark 5
Jesus went to the other side; Jaris daughter was near death and they went to him; a crowd pressed against him - a woman ill for 12 years - your faith

Lent - Year B (Mark)
Collect for the Day:
Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves
to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and
inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may
assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
forever and ever. Amen.
inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may
assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
forever and ever. Amen.
For Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hardwood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.

A Collect for the Renewal of Life
O God, the King eternal,
who divides the day from the night
and turns the shadow of death into the morning:
Drive far from us all wrong desires,
incline our hearts to keep your law,
and guide our feet into the way of peace;
that, having done your will with cheerfulness while it was day,
we may, when night comes,
rejoice to give you thanks;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
