Psalm 102| Background |
The writer wants to come back to God and be restored;
S/he is at a loss without being with God - not only s/he but
Zion needs also to be restored; God rules forever and heres
the suffering of all. In the future children will be with God.

Romans 5 | Paul continues to write …
One man - Adam - brought sin into the world (sin = broken relationship
with God) so through one man - Jesus - came salvation and the
restoration of the relationship with God - justification - as a free
gift.

Matthew 20
While in Jericho, two men shout at Jesus for mercy - Jesus asks what
do you want? To see. Jesus healed them and they followed him. Jesus
continually heals and transforms people that they follow him and now

Prayers and Intercessions
Collect
O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name,
for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the
sure foundation of your loving-kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and
ever. Amen.
For a Clear Voice
Please God, now we need a voice, a clear voice, one that speaks
in truth and common sense, not shouting, not evading, but telling
us, all of us, no matter what our opinions, telling us how to find
our way back, how to return to what is the best of us, speaking in
compassion, speaking with invitation, but clear, determined, hopeful,
a voice we can trust, that we can believe in, because it does not take
sides, but stands in the center, at the heart, where our shared
hope first began, where all people may gather, please God, we need
that voice and we need it now.

For Peace Among Nations
Almighty God our heavenly Father,
guide the nations of the world
into the way of justice and truth,
and establish among them that peace
which is the fruit of righteousness,
that they may become the kingdom
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than
we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in
the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20,21
