Prayers and Intercessions
Collect
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities
before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our
weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness
we dare not, and for our blindness, we cannot ask; through the worthiness
of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the
Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. (Proper 11, Year B)

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women
everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For the Unemployed
Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and
anxiety from lack of paid work. Guide the people of this land so to use
our public and private wealth that all may find suitable and fulfilling
employment, and receive just payment for their labor; through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
For All Sorts and Conditions
O God, the creator and preserver of all, we humbly beseech you for
all sorts and conditions of people; that you would be pleased to make
your ways are known unto them, your saving health unto all nations. More
especially we pray for your holy Church universal; that it may be so
guided and governed by your good Spirit, that all who profess and call
themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the
faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of
life. Finally, we commend to your fatherly goodness all those who are
in any ways afflicted or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it
may please you to comfort and relieve them according to their several
necessities, giving them patience under their sufferings, and a happy
issue out of all their afflictions. And this we beg for Jesus Christ's sake.
Amen.

Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than
we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in
the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.
