Reflection:
The plagues are the scene set today to find - God making a
warning, Moses and Aaron deliver it, Pharaoh’s heart is harden,
and a decision not to let Israel come into the wilderness to worship
God. Every pledge strikes at the comfort of the people of Egypt but
warning, Moses and Aaron deliver it, Pharaoh’s heart is harden,
and a decision not to let Israel come into the wilderness to worship
God. Every pledge strikes at the comfort of the people of Egypt but
Pharaoh can’t possibly let his free labor just leave him. Only when
the 10th pledge strike down every Egyptian household does Pharaoh
them go. Note the institution of Passover and how that saved Israel for
the 10th pledge. It becomes a memory for Israel to remember about
their liberation done each year to remember the great acts of God.
their liberation done each year to remember the great acts of God.
Meditation/Contemplate:
How are people’s hearts “harden” against God now and how to we
help them “see the light” of relationship with God. We, with the Holy
Spirit become the transformational entity for them.
Prayer:
Keep me in your salvation that I might share it with others. Amen

Psalm 98 or
Cantate Domino
Sing to the LORD a new song, *
for he has done marvelous things.
With his right hand and his holy arm *
has he won for himself the victory.
The LORD has made known his victory; *
his righteousness has he openly shown in
the sight of the nations.
He remembers his mercy and faithfulness to
the house of Israel, *
and all the ends of the earth have seen the
victory of our God.
Shout with joy to the LORD, all you lands; *
lift up your voice, rejoice, and sing.
Sing to the LORD with the harp, *
with the harp and the voice of song.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn *
shout with joy before the King, the LORD.
Let the sea make a noise and all that is in it, *
the lands and those who dwell therein.
Let the rivers clap their hands, *
and let the hills ring out with joy before the LORD,
when he comes to judge the earth.
In righteousness shall he judge the world *
and the peoples with equity.
