Today’s Reading

2/1/2019       Day 32  Leviticus 19:1 - 23:34

Reflection:
Chapter 19 is a misc. collection of ethical and ritual laws introduced
by the command for all Israelites to be holy and carefully observed
what is written here by the Priestly writers (P) in this holiness code (H).
Chap. 20 continues with various prohibitions against child sacrifice,
wizards and mediums, adultery, and sex within the family. Chap. 21 &
22 lists out priestly restrictions and sacrificial rules. Chap. 23 is a
calendar of sacred occasions - sabbath, passover, unleavened bread,
Day of Atonement, festival of booths, harvest festival.

Meditation/Contemplate:
How do you celebrate the Lord? What are sacred times to you?
How are you holy?

Prayer:
Come let us worship the Eternal God, who is our maker and redeemer.
Amen.
