3/5/2019 Day 64 1 Samuel 1:1 – 3:21
Reflection:
Hannah is a barren woman and prays to the Lord to have a child.
She is prudent and faithful despite the ridicule she receives, she bears
a child named Samuel who is called by God to be a great prophet; he
will restore the priesthood as Eli’s house will be destroyed. As Samuel
grew up, the Eternal One was with him and let none of his words fall
to the ground.

Samuel was one book and should be read that way.
Meditation/Contemplate:
What is your calling and do you hear God?
Prayer:
O God, you call all your generations, everyone to do your ministry to
the world. Bless them daily as they go and do it. Amen.

O God, who before the passion of your only begotten Son revealed his
glory upon the holy mountain: Grant to us that we, beholding by faith
the light of his countenance, may be strengthened to bear our cross,
and be changed into his likeness from glory to glory; through Jesus
Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever. Amen. (BCP)
