Today’s Reading

3/13/2019     Day 72 1 Samuel 29:1 - 31:13

Reflection:

Background by Center of Biblical Studies. Background by
Chabad.org
David allies with the Philistines but they do not trust him and
behind his back he was betrayed and his city was taken with
his wives; David fought back and regained everything that was
lost; Saul was fighting the Philistines on a second front and was
over powered by them and he killed himself rather being taken by
them.
Meditation/Contemplate:

Do you still have faith after you have lost everything? God will give
you abundant life!

Prayer:
O Eternal One, you know everything and the coming and goings of
our lives. Be with us and bless us.  Amen

Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made and
forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and
contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and
acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all
mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
forever and ever. Amen. (BCP)
