Reflection |

Today -

Jesus is challenged by church leadership on Tradition vs
Belief. Jesus changes the purity tradition - what comes out
defiles. 

Jesus goes to Tyre hoping not to get noticed and heals a girl
following the pleas of a desperate Gentile woman: Jesus heals
a deaf man; feed another large crowd of people; Pharisees
ask for a sign - Jesus gives no sign - watch out for the Pharisees;

Jesus heals a blind man and then asks his disciples who people
say he is? Peter you are the Messiah. The Son of Man must suffer -
Peter says No - Jesus says yes I will suffer.

Take up your cross and follow me … Hear what I have said (Jesus)

Collect for Proper 19 / Pentecost 14

O God, because without you we are not able to please you,
mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct
and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives
and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and forever. Amen

Pray for those seeking God’s calling for their next
venture in life. May we give thanks for all God’s gifts and
Wonders that God give us continuously.
