9/21/2019 Day 264 Mark 10:46 – 12:34
Reflection |
Today -
Jesus and the disciples heading into Jerusalem -
In Jericho - Jesus heals and blind man
Jesus parades into Jerusalem on a humble donkey
over against a Roman parade of troops and demonstrations
of earthly power.
Jesus teaching through actions - cleaning the Temple of Commerce;
This creates a plot for him to be killed by leaders; pray for anything
and if you will have faith it will happen; forgive all; authority? What
authority did John the Baptist have? We don’t know. I won’t tell you
Mine; a parable on evil tenants who killed the owner's people and then
even the Son; Meaning of the resurrection; Hear, O Israel, you should
love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

Collect for Proper 19 / Pentecost 14
O God, because without you we are not able to please you,
mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct
and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives
and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and forever. Amen
