Prayer Suggestion:
Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call
of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people
the Good News of his salvation, that we and the
whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous
works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Friends in Christ,
Edwards Key points -
The years are 44 CE
Herod kills James and arrests Peter.
Angel of the Lord breaks Peter out and Peter escapes out of town.
Herod kills the prison guards
Herod is struck down for enjoying being compared to a god.
Barnabas, Saul, and John Mark bring the fundraising to offset the famine hits 44 - 47 CE. The church grows outside of Jerusalem.
My Thoughts-
Persecution begins with the leaders of the church but God lends aid and Peter is spared and escapes Herod.
Rulers are accountable to God for their rule.
Persecution will never stop the forward growth of the church. The opposite is always true.
So when did God last intervene in your life?
In Christ,
Dave Eitland
