Dear Friends in Christ,
Edwards Key points -
Edwards does an excellent job in short explanations to give the historical setting of the year we are looking at. Get the book.
Israel under foreign occupation
Early Christian community lived together and shared everything in common.
My Thoughts-
Peter and John are proclaiming Jesus and are arrested by Sadducees.
These religious leaders did NOT believe in the resurrection.
They order P & J to stop. Peter says we obey God’s authority alone.
In session without P & J Sadducees decide to tell them to stop preaching and they are release and do it anyway
Peter prays for the community of believers.
Early community shared everything in common, even property.
How do you use your possessions to advance the cause of God?
In Christ,
Dave Eitland
