Day 28 - What Were You Thinking?
The Jabez Prayer
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,
“Oh, the You would bless me indeed, and enlarge
my territory, that Your hand would be with me,
That You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!”
So God granted him what he requested.

+++
Edwards has asked us to pause and read the Letter to the Galatians.
I am using NOAB5, pp.2078 - 2079, text and notes as the source of this background for you.
Chapter 1
Paul has his commission as an apostle
from Jesus Christ and God the Father.
Paul is quick to remind the Galatians that through Jesus grace was given to us and gave us freedom. To God be the glory!
Vs 6 - 9 | I am astonished that you have forgotten Jesus so quickly confusing the real gospel for a fake. The people or angels that have told you this should be cursed.
My gospel came only from Jesus Christ.
The church in Jerusalem celebrated that even though I once persecuted the Church and tried to destroy it, I now proclaim Jesus and its freedom as a servant of Christ and apostle to the world (Gentiles).
