Day 39 - Thank You for Your Faith!

Prayer Suggestion |
Almighty Father, who gave your only Son
to die for our sins and to rise for our justification:
Give us grace so to put away the leaven
of malice and wickedness, that we may
always serve you in pureness of living
and truth; through Jesus Christ your Son
our Lord, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

My Thoughts on Today’s Session -

Using New Oxford Annotated Bible 5th Edition
Notes.

Outline of 1 Thessalonians from NOAB5 notes p.2113

Chapter 1

Like any letter, Paul opens the letter with a greeting.

The form of the letter is similar to our modern memo
format.

Paul is the primary writer with Silas and Timothy
with him.

He rejoices that the Thessalonian Christian
community is steadfast in the faith.

vs. 6 & 7 - And you became imitators of us and of
Christ, for in spite of persecution you received
the Word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit that
you became an example to all the believers not only in
Macedonia and Achaia, (but in all places that God
is known) [de edits]

Like everyone else, we wait for the
the next coming of Christ.

How have you imitated Christ?

Invite your friends to our journey.
Happy Eastertide!

In Christ,
