Day 59 - the Holy Spirit
Prayer Suggestion |
O God, who has called us your servants to ventures of which we can not see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden and through perils unknown.
Give us the faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our God.
Amen

Reflection Today’s Reading -
Dear Friends in Christ,
We will be reading a chapter a day from Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians. (This would be a good time to invite friends to the study. The links to the study are also on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.)
Today’s chapter for reflection is 1 Corinthians 2.
Paul tells the church members that he has told them a bout the mysteries of God in plain, common language and not in the language of academics or rulers of this age.
This wisdom is straightforward.
Vs. 9
What no eye has seen,
nor ear heard,
nor human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those that love (God) … (ed. DWE)
This knowledge is power by God the Holy Spirit and this is the spirit and knowledge we have received from God.
The Holy Spirit is the source. And we have this source in our lives.
A Thought ...
How are you and the Holy Spirit doing these days?
May the Holy Spirit be in your life!
Blessings,
Dave Eitland
P.S. I would suggest that you are using a study bible that was published in this century for your reflection.
